Hello and Welcome to the Discovery Phoenix Community!

It is with a very full heart that I welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year—my fourth year as Director and my 16th year being part of this incredible community. I believe deeply in our program and all that we do to support and inspire young learners.

This year, we are celebrating a major milestone—our 20th year as a Phoenix Community and Discovery Organization! That’s two decades of curiosity, creativity, connection, and co-creating a story that continues to grow in depth and purpose. We are thrilled to be writing this exciting new chapter with all of you.

Our website is filled with great information and resources to learn more about what makes our community so special. We are very proud of our real-world, hands-on, project-based learning approach that meets the diverse needs of each student. Our amazing staff is dedicated to building strong relationships with students and families so that everyone in our community feels seen, valued, and empowered to follow their passions and curiosities.

One of the most essential parts of our program is our strong parent partnership model. We cannot fulfill the philosophy and mission of our school without YOU! As you explore our website, you’ll find many opportunities to partner with us—classroom support shifts, school-wide roles, field trip help, sharing your passions and skills with students, and joining in our many joyful community events. There are so many ways to be part of the learning and the magic that unfolds here each day. We truly value your voice as co-authors and heroes in our DCS story.
